Lifestyle Medicine Grand Rounds with Kim Scheurer, MD and Neal Barnard, MD

On December 14, 2021, PCRM President, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Founder of Barnard Medical Center and best selling author, Neal Barnard, MD served as guest panelist on the RLMI and IHA sponsored Lifestyle Medicine Grand Rounds.

Case Presenter Kim Scheurer, MD, who serves as Medical Provider at both Plant-Based TeleHealth and her own practice, DOKS Lifestyle Medicine, presented a case entitled The Diagnosis is not Always the Correct Diagnosis about a patient with elevated a1c and other chronic conditions, including obesity. Addressing her conditions, Dr. Scheurer helped the patient lower her a1c and lose weight.

Other panelists included IHA’s Dr. Bob Breakey and Dr. Megan Grega, Kellyn Foundation and ACLM.

RLMI’s Dr. Ted Barnett served as Moderator and RLMI.

60 registrants attended.
