In addition to the services that we provide directly to you, we are also working in the community to make changes in the following areas:

Restaurant Meal Options – we’re educating restaurants to increase the availability of delicious, healthy options when you eat out.

Supermarket and Grocery Options – we’re educating food suppliers to increase the availability of delicious, healthy options when you shop.

Reduced Medical Costs – we’re working to reduce the burden of chronic disease-related health care costs in our community.

Improved Insurance Reimbursement – we’re working to increase reimbursement for Lifestyle Medicine services for patients.

Increased Awareness – the more people who learn the CHIP principles, the more mainstream they become, benefiting everyone.

Increasing Cooperation – achieving our goals will require an effort from the entire community and we’re striving to bring like-minded organizations together.

Medical Research – we are actively collecting data for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

We are doing everything in our power to help make our area into a “Blue Zone.”

CHIP was developed over the last 25 years in Loma Linda, California in association with Loma Linda University. Because of its good lifestyle choices, Loma Linda is known as a “Blue Zone,” where healthy, happy people often live to be 100 years old. Imagine living in a place where healthy and happy lifestyles are commonplace; even in the elderly. Can you picture that? We can see it clearly.

We’re on a mission to change lives and change communities because, just like you, we want vibrant health and happiness for ourselves and our loved ones. That’s why we use many of the Blue Zone principles in our programs.
